Jennifer Thornberry earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and radio/television from Morehead State University and her master’s degree in journalism from Ohio University.
She joins the EKU faculty after almost 10 years in newspapers and magazines. She has worked for the Richmond Register, The Winchester Sun, The Lane Report, The Bluegrass Horseman and Sampler Publications. She has worked as a feature writer, copy editor and page designer, and she has coordinated many large and small publishing projects.
She brings these skills to the EKU faculty as an instructor of feature writing courses and as the faculty adviser of the Milestone, EKU’s yearbook.
Jennifer enjoys studying language use and language change. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading, yoga and working out at the gym.
A Louisville, Ky., native, Jennifer lives in Lexington, Ky., with her husband and her three cats.
