Jim Gleason, APR

jimJim Gleason received his BA in Education and MS in Educational Media from the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Mass Communication at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include interactivity, new media, advertising and public relations.

As a member of the Department of Communication, he teaches classes in Public Relations, advertising, graphics and special events.

Prior to joining EKU, he was director of worldwide employee communications and special events for Lexmark, founder and president of Buzzword, Inc., and vice president of communications at Meridian Communications. He is Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is past president of the Thoroughbred Chapter.

He is an accomplished musician and currently plays lead guitar for The Johnson Brothers Band and stunt guitar for his wife Missy's band The Bats.
