Jennifer Fairchild

jen_fJennifer Fairchild joined the EKU faculty in August 2007. She is a lecturer in the CMS department. Jennifer earned her B.A. in English from Georgetown College in 1997. She earned her M.A. in Communication from the University of Kentucky in 1998. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication from UK. She is ABD (all but dissertation), and is writing her dissertation about miscarriage narratives and the social support offered to women post-miscarriage.

Jennifer is married to Scott, and they have a son, Thomas Chandler Fairchild. In her spare time (when she is not grading papers or writing her dissertation) she enjoys spending time with her family. Jennifer's research interests are in interpersonal communication, particularly gender issues, social support, and narrative.
