Communication studies courses help you become more proficient in speaking confidently, writing effectively, thinking critically, and problem-solving.

Careers in Communication Studies
A degree in Communication Studies can take you as far as you can dream. For example, graduates have successfully entered careers in corporate instructional training, consulting, management, pharmaceutical sales, nonprofit agencies, health care organizations, human service agencies, and alternative dispute resolution. Moreover, many of our graduates have gone on to achieve graduate degrees in communication, law, politics, dispute resolution, and the seminary. A degree in Communication Studies can be tailored to fit your individual career goals.

Philosophy
The Department of Communication combines communication theory and philosophies and applies them to the practice of "real world" situations. Professors are experienced, enthusiastic and passionate about giving students the skills necessary to succeed. Courses emphasize hands-on learning and models of instruction that teach students how to be successful professionals in an ever-changing environment.
